Diversions in Wetherby due to roadworks

There are roadworks taking place on Westgate in Wetherby from Monday 9 January. As a result, some of our buses will be diverted.

Temporary lights will be installed on the week of Monday 9 January, at the junction of Crossley Street and Westgate. Buses on the 770 and 771 will be able to use the normal route between Monday 9 and Sunday 15 January, but we're expecting there will likely be delays due to the increase in traffic around the area.

From Monday 16 January, for around four weeks Westgate will be open in one direction only. The 770 and 771 from Harrogate to Wetherby will use Crossley Street, St James Street, North Street and the High Street to access Wetherby bus station. Buses won't be able to pick up along Crossley Street and Market Place whilst these works take place, but we'll have temporary stops places along the diversion route, between Westgate and the Linton Road / Spofforth Hill mini roundabout.

Buses heading towards Harrogate from Leeds and Wetherby will be able to use the usual route.

We're sorry for any inconvenience that these works may cause, and we'll keep you up to date on Twitter @harrogatebus.
