Changes to our buses in Harrogate from Sunday 29 October

Head's up! There are some exciting changes taking place on our buses in and around Harrogate from Sunday 29 October.

New evening and Saturday night buses are coming to the 1 following your feedback, so you can really make the most of your evenings and weekends and be sure that we'll get you home safely. There are big changes coming for the 36, too, with buses every 10 mins between Leeds and Harrogate from Sunday 29th. And there are some other changes to our buses around town to help improve our timekeeping and reliability for you. 

Here's your roundup of the changes from 29 October. 

New stands at Harrogate bus station

We're getting ready to bring you a brand new fleet of amazing electric buses early in 2018. To prepare for the arrival of your new electric buses, we need to start work on the bus station in Harrogate to build the charging facilities.

From 29 October, the 3 to Jennyfield and the 24 to Pateley Bridge will leave from their new home at stand 5. Flying Tiger's 747, and the X52/X6/X6A will move to stand 6. 

Changes to times

1, 1A, 1B, 1C, 1N Harrogate - Knaresborough, Aspin, Eastfield and Carmires

There's a whole range of exciting changes taking place on the 1. We've added brand new evening journeys to Aspin, Eastfield and Carmires following your feedback, as well as brand new night buses on Saturday nights leaving Harrogate at 1.10am and 2.10am. We've also taken a look at the timetable during the daytime, with changes to help our timekeeping and reliability for you. Finally, the journeys to Boroughbridge on the 1A will become the new 21. 2A and 2B Harrogate  - Bilton

There will be some small improvements to the timetable to help with reliability. The 36 won't be running to Bilton during the evenings any longer, but the morning trips to Harrogate & Leeds will still be running. 

Harrogate - Jennyfield 

There will be some small improvements to the timetable to help with reliability. The 36 won't be running to Jennyfield during the evenings any longer, but the morning trips will still run as normal.

and X6 Harrogate - Pannal Ash and Beckwith Knowle

There will be some small improvements to the timetable to help with reliability.

36 Ripon - Harrogate - Leeds

RIDING. REDEFINED...again. The 36 gets bigger and better than ever before, running every 10 mins between Harrogate & Leeds from 29 October.

Buses will run every 20 mins between Harrogate and Ripon through the daytime, but there will be more buses at busier times. There's more buses on Sundays, too, with buses every 20 mins to Ripon. More buses will be running all the way through to Ripon during the evening rush hour, with those buses which previously finished at Bilton and Jennyfield running all the way to Ripon.

21 Knaresborough - Boroughbridge

The 21 is the newest addition to the Harrogate Bus Company family, replacing the journeys on the 1A between Knaresborough and Boroughbridge. We've taken the decision to split these two sections of the 1A to improve reliability for you on both parts of the route. You'll still be able to buy through tickets on the 21 to and from Harrogate, with one quick and easy change at Knaresborough bus station.
