Changes to the 24 and V32 from October half term28-09-2018
We're making some changes to the 24 and V32 school bus from Sunday 28 October, which we think will work better for everybody.
The 24 from Pateley Bridge to Harrogate will now extend to St Aidan's and St John Fishers during the morning and afternoon, replacing the V32 school bus. The timetable for these extended trips is as follows:
|Pateley Bridge King Street||0720|
|Summerbridge Flying Dutchman||0729|
|Darley Moke Hill||0738|
|Birstwith Post Office||0748|
|Hampsthwaite Memorial Hall||0753|
|Killinghall Three Horseshoes||0800|
|Harrogate bus station||0817|
|St John Fishers||0832|
Towards Pateley Bridge
|St John Fishers||1545|
|Harrogate bus station||1600|
|Killinghall Three Horseshoes||1607|
|Hampsthwaite Memorial Hall||1614|
|Birstwith Post Office||1619|
|Darley Moke Hill||1628|
|Summerbridge Flying Dutchman||1637|
|Pateley Bridge King Street||1650|
There is also a 1730 departure from Harrogate bus station, for those students which stay at after school clubs.
The change means students can get to and from school with a direct bus, and get home 35 minutes sooner than they do at the moment.
There is no change to tickets for people currently using the 24/V32 link.
If you catch the V32 from Jennyfield at the moment, you can catch the 24 to St Aidan's and St John Fishers from The Hydro at 0806.
If you don't live close to The Hydro, you can catch the 3 to the bus station and connect with the 24 there. In the afternoon, there is a similar connection which leaves the bus station 1605.
Students in Bilton north of Bilton Lane can catch the 2B to Harrogate bus station, which arrives at 0812, then connect with the 24 to get to the schools. In the afternoon there is a similar connection which leaves the bus station at 1605.
Students south of Bilton Lane can catch the 2A to the bus station which arrives at 0805, then connect with the 24 to get to get to the schools. In the afternoon there is a similar connection which leaves the bus station at 1610.
We'll contact everyone in Jennyfield and Bilton who have subscribed to an annual ticket to offer them a refund to ensure they aren't out of pocket. Journey time is similar to the current V32 journey time for most people and reduced for some others.
The fares are cheaper than V32 were - just £9.30 per week instead of £13.50 per week.
